“Lode” up the van…
HAHAHA! We’re funny aren’t we… But the bad pun can only mean one thing -
September is here and it’s Lodestar Festival this weekend! If you haven’t got tickets yet, do so here now – it’s less than £35 for the whole weekend or just £15 a day…
Tigers will be hitting the stage TWICE on the Friday, sneaking in a tasty acoustic set at 5pm before we take to the main stage at 8pm to make some big noise. So bring your friends and tell random strangers. Yes sir…
We’ve never been to Cambridge. But we’ve heard you’re all awesome. It’s gonna be a fun weekend…

Tigers at Moorfest
Tomorrow, yes that’s right, Saturday 14th August, Tigers head northwards to a farm near Skipton in North Yorkshire to play at Moorfest 2010. We’re really looking forward to it, despite the wind and threatening rain, it’s going to be great and everyone we’ve spoken to so far is having heaps of fun so we’re looking forward to joining in (and sticking around after to embrace the full festival atmosphere). We are doing not one, but TWO shows on Saturday – first, Earl Hickey Tent at 4pm for full electric set, then we trim it down for cosy acoustic set for East Leeds FM to be broadcast on their station at 7pm (listen here live).
Hope to see you there or that you can listen in!

Lodestar…
I just popped onto the Lodestar Festival website to find that Tigers are the featured artists this week…it’s all hotting up for this fantastic and VERY cheap festival…£34.50 for 3 days festival including camping…it’s a bargain! Hope you slot it into your early September calendars and we see you there… x
Gig-gig-gig-gig-gigssss…
Hey everyone,
Sorry for being all so quiet recently, we’ve been scurrying around in the rehearsal studio preparing some new tracks and beginning to build our next tour…but we’ve awoken again and will be back with you a bit more often now…
So, to kick things off, we thought we’d do a gig at home this Sunday – August 1st – in Northern Monkey on the Headrow, Leeds, where we are playing with the fantastic Arthur Rigby and the Baskervylles – a formidable many, many-piece band playing sexy orchestral masterpieces. Mmmm…
And then of course we are heading northwards to Skipton to play the excellent Moors Music Festival for the very first time! We’ll be onstage in the Earl Hickey Tent on Saturday, round about 5pm we think. Keep your eyes on this page, as soon as we know for sure, you’ll know for sure…
August 20th then sees us return to the Elbow Rooms in Leeds for a bonanza featuring Killing Fields of Ontario, Get People and Midnight High. Great support and cheap cheap entry (a mere £2) – that’s less than the pint that you will buy when you get in…
And then to finish the festival season off, we’re off to Lodestar Festival near Cambridge (September 4th and 5th).
We really hope to see you at one or even all of these…and if you really can’t, and you’ve got a valid reason like volcanic ash is preventing you flying or your dog ate your jumper etc, then we’ll be back on the road come September and be knocking on your doors then.
Hope you’re enjoying the summer and we’ll catch up soon..

maps, live at leeds, drowned in sound and “get into the van” radio…
Morning all,
Just a quick one to say that we’re really looking forward to being in Manchester tonight for the MAPS festival! We’re onstage about 9pm at the Roadhouse, supporting the amazing Tubelord and the great Kites of San Quentin. More info can be found here -http://www.mapsfestival.com . We haven’t been over to Manchester for a while so make sure you come down, it’ll be great to say hello…
Also, this Saturday the wonderful Live at Leeds festival once again lights up our fair city… Can’t believe it’s here already! The lineup is unbelievable this year, with appearances from some of our favourite Leeds bands, including Ellen & the Escapades, These Monsters, Lone Wolf, Olfar & the Feral Pets, Sam Airey, and, of course, the Brilliant Wild Beasts. As for us, we can’t wait for our own slot, 11pm at the Elbow Rooms. That’s 11PM. At the ELBOW ROOMS. Invite all your friends. Tell your family. Shout it at strangers all day. Let’s make it a great late night party…
In other gig news, the Nation of Shopkeepers show on the 25th May has unfortunately had to be cancelled due to the Sian Alice Group being unable to fly over here due to volcanoes and the like… However, hopefully you’ll all be able to make the 24th May instead, as we have been added to the bill for the White Hinterland gig as main support! Check them out here –http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/most-blogged-artists-crystal-castles-mia-white-hinterland-1954810.html . You know what they say. Every Volcanic Ash Cloud…
Finally, we had a lovely bit of coverage in Drowned in sound this week, where Mr. Daniel O’Dell described us as “one of my favourite West Yorkshire bands”. Cheers mate! You can read the full piece here –http://drownedinsound.com/in_depth/4139797. We’re also being played at the moment on Breakthru Radio, on their show “Get Into the Van”. The show itself, hosted by the lovely DJ Jezz Harkin, can be heard here –http://www.breakthruradio.com/index.php?show=10106. Lovely stuff…
That’s about it for now guys. And remember. Saturday. 11pm. Elbow Rooms. Got it?
Much Love

Hello You!
It’s been a while, we know, and we’re sorry we haven’t been in touch more. But, just because our blogs have been a bit quiet recently, doesn’t mean we have… No, we’ve been tucked away in Leeds, writing some great new songs, playing some great live shows and sorting out the fine details of our Debut Album release!
Yes, it’s been promised for a while and we really appreciate your patience, but now we really are very close to announcing an official release date for the Album! Keep your eyes peeled for the next few weeks, as we’ll announce it on the site as soon as we can. We really can’t wait for you to hear it…
In the mean time, we’re also in the middle of booking some tour dates for the coming months, so come down and whet your appetites for the album release, and also check out some of the new tracks we’ll be road-testing during these gigs. The next show is this Sunday, 21st March, in Leeds, playing a Moor Music festival fundraiser at the Brudenell Social Club. After that, we’ll be popping to York, Liverpool, Wrexham, Manchester, London, Hull and many more cities around the UK, so keep checking the blogs and we’ll announce the full tour once it’s all confirmed!
